Quartz Countertop Design

Marbled shades, natural flecks, and variant colours – granite countertops are ideal for traditional homes with old world charm. With subtle speckled variations in tone throughout, granite countertops easily become the stylish focal point of a kitchen or bathroom. Granite countertops are incredibly versatile; they come in a wide variety of colours and patterns, giving homeowners unique control over their home’s look and feel. While darker shades work especially well when paired with a pop of colour or a bold pattern, lighter shades complement medium-coloured wood cabinets and natural lighting. The natural, elegant design of granite countertops lays the foundation for beautiful room design.

The Pros and Cons of Granite Countertops

Countertops can be the home’s ground zero for spills, fingerprints, clutter, and mess. As much as we would all love our kitchen and bathroom countertops to remain organized and mess-free, life often gets in the way of this pipe dream. That’s why it’s vital for homeowners to take into account all of a material’s qualities before they install countertops in their homes. Here are a few of the main benefits and drawbacks of granite countertops.

Wide Range of Colours – Quartz colours are available in a wide range of colours from light to dark and everything in between. They also have a more uniform look than natural stone.

Non-Porous – Quartz is non-porous which means you don’t have to worry about bacteria or germs seeping into your countertop. It is also stain resistant and never needs to be sealed.

Scratch Resistant – Quartz resists scratching however, cutting boards should always be used.

Low Tolerance to Heat – Contrary to popular belief, quartz counters have a low heat tolerance and can burn. Trivets should always be used. Quartz Is also not recommended for fireplace surrounds

Not Bulletproof – Quartz can take everyday, normal abuse however it is not indestructible. It does chip however, it can be repaired.

Discolouration – Quartz can discolour over time if left in direct sunlight. In should be used indoors only.

We would like to say a big thank you to you but also to your team on the ground. Your company has been really professional and the result exceed our expectations. Adam and the 2 other guys who came yesterday to mount the counter-top (sorry it was so quick I didn’t catch their names) have done a fantastic job in our kitchen! You really have a nice product but also an amazing team to support you! Please pass along our thanks to any one involved on your side!
